Protego Flame Arrester

  Demands and requirements in regard to safety have been increased in recent years for plants such as process, storage and transport of combustible vapours and products. Not only due to higher safety demands but also due to more sensitive awareness in regard to environmental protection.

  In addition to standard products Protego manufacture very special flame arresting devices, valves and components, tailor made, in accordance with international standards, which are developed, designed and manufactured to suit the specified parameters.

  Protego’s R&D is equipped with a state of the art volume flow/pressure loss measuring plant which is certified and calibrated and provides a maximum capacity of 15.000 m3/h. Thus, it is possible to perform realistic tests in order to determine and proof true values of devices.

Flame Arrester

A device fitted to the opening of an enclosure or to the connecting pipework of a system of enclosures and whose intended function is to allow flow, but prevent the transmission of flame (EN 12874:2001)

Low Pressure Safety Relief Valve

A device for relieving excess pressure or vacuum which remains tightly closed up to the set pressure, which is lower than for standard safety relief valves. However, the low pressure safety relief valves fulfil the equivalent quality requirements as standard safety valves.
