The primary function of the pressure reducing valve is to maintain a constant downstream pressure.
Model 106 PR Pressure Reducing Valve: The valve shall maintain a constant downstream pressure with extreme accuracy, regardless of fluctuations in the upstream pressure or flow.

Model 106 -PR-R Pressure Reducing and Sustaining Valve: The valve shall maintain a constant (adjustable) downstream pressure with extreme accuracy, regardless of fluctuations in the upstream pressure or flow. A pressure sustaining function shall override the pressure reducing function should the upstream pressure fall below a pre-determined (adjustable) desired minimum value.

Model 106 PR-48 Pressure Reducing Valve with Low Flow By-Pass: The valve shall maintain a constant downstream pressure with extreme accuracy, regardless of fluctuations in the upstream pressure or flow. A direct acting, by-pass pressure reducing valve shall be integral to the pilot system and shall overlap the minimum flow capacity of the main valve to ensure stable operation down to 1 gpm.

Model 106 PRC Pressure Reducing and Check Valve: The valve shall maintain a constant downstream pressure with extreme accuracy, regardless of fluctuations in the upstream pressure or flow. The valve shall close drip tight to stop reverse flow if the downstream pressure exceeds the upstream pressure.

Model 106 PR-SC Pressure Reducing Valve with Solenoid Shutoff: The valve shall maintain a constant downstream pressure with extreme accuracy, regardless of fluctuations in the upstream pressure or flow.
The valve shall close drip tight when the solenoid pilot valve is de-energized-NORMALLY CLOSED (energized – NORMALLY OPEN).

106 PR-S and 206 PR-S Pressure Reducing Valve with Downstream Surge Protection: The PR pilot valve senses the downstream pressure through a connection at the valve outlet. Under flowing conditions, the pilot reacts to small changes in pressure to control the valve position by modulating the pressure above the diaphragm. The downstream pressure is maintained constant at the pilot set point (adjustable). The surge pilot senses the downstream pressure. If the pressure rises above the PR pilot setting and reaches the surge pilot setting, the surge pilot opens in order to close the main valve rapidly.
